Mrs. Zulikha Olufunmilayo Ibraheem was born on the 7th of July 1965. She attended Lagos Public School for her primary classes 1970-1976, Victory High school, Ikeja, Lagos for her junior secondary classes from 1976 – 1978 and Government College Ketu, Epe, Lagos State for her Senior Secondary classes, which she finished in year 1981 before proceeding to Ogun State University Ago- Iwoye, Ogun state for her Bachelor in Agriculture (Option in Agric. Extension and Rural Sociology – July, 1991). She had her M.Sc. in Agric. Extension Services from University of Ibadan. Oyo State – May 1994, Certificate of Achievement in basic computer operation (Nov. 1994) and diploma in cooperative studies (July 1996).
Mrs. Zulikha joined the Lagos State Civil Service in 1995 and was deployed to the Ministry of Agriculture & Cooperatives where she started out at the Mainland Cooperative Area Office in the Directorate of Cooperative Services.
She was eventually drafted to head the Cooperative Training Unit between Yr 2000-2002 where she coordinated trainings for cooperators across the State before being elevated to the position of Area Officer, Apapa Cooperative Area Office from Yr 2002-2008. Thereafter, she was transferred to the Ikeja Cooperative Area Office as Area Officer, a position she held from Yr 2009-2010. n as a Registrar of Cooperatives before the Directorate was ceded to Ministry of Commerce and Industry in July 2015, where she started out at the Mainland Cooperative Area Office in the Directorate of Cooperative Services.
In Yr 2011, she was transferred to the Headquarters of the Directorate, to be in charge of Cooperative administration and staff matters and was also appointed to head the Agricultural Cooperative Empowerment Scheme (ACES) of the Ministry. In June 2013, she was appointed as Ag. Director of Cooperatives, a position she holds till date.
In recognition of her commitment to duty and deep knowledge of Cooperative matters, she was appointed as the Executive Secretary, LASCOFED (Lagos State Cooperative Federation), which is the Apex body of Cooperative Societies in Lagos State, as Caretaker Committee by the Ministry from June 2001- July 2002. She also served as the secretary to a 10-man committee on formation of women farmers Cooperative societies in Lagos State which was a Federal–State Government initiative in January 2008.
Mrs. Ibraheem, who is currently the Registrar of Cooperatives before the Directorate was ceded to Ministry of Commerce and Industry in July 2015 had attended several trainings both locally and internationally which exposed her to several cooperative management techniques, and which have been brought to the fore since she assumed the mantle of leadership as Director.
She is humble, hardworking and is a team player with an unblemished record spanning two decades in the cooperative arena. Her hobbies include cooking, meeting people and dancing.
She is happily married, with children.
